One Eighty Landscape Maintenance

Concept

A friend of mine came to me in need of a logo for his new landscaping business. He wanted a quick, simple one color logo that depicted his business name, 180 landscape maintenance.

“The job is done right or we’ll do a 180 and do it again until it is” as my friend said in our meeting.

Below is my initial sketch on a sticky note, per my norm, as well as another idea I had while I was drawing up the simple 180 bug.

Proofing

While I was creating the simple 180 bug logo we had discussed I just wasn’t satisfied with the overall look. I felt that this business needed a more modern, clean and professional logo that represented the work I knew my friend was capable of. So I went back to the drawing board and put together a proof sheet (right) to show my friend the new ideas.

Final

Ultimately the client agreed with me on the logo but still liked the idea of having the bug logo around, just in case. So we settled on have a primary logo and secondary logo (below). Primary being the full landscape logo and secondary being the original condensed bug logo.
